Opening post by OutreachNotes
A practical pitch exercise: imagine a publication has a guide to comparing local service quotes, and your organisation has produced a clear worksheet showing which questions to ask providers.
The email should identify the relevant section, explain what the worksheet adds, disclose who produced it, and let the editor inspect it without replying. The subject can describe the resource instead of promising a vague partnership.
I would keep the message short and make no claim that the editor owes us a link. If the resource is commercially motivated, the pitch should be candid about that too.
How would you make this offer more useful without adding more sales language?
