Editorial follow-up: estimate capacity before promising a retainer
List recurring delivery work, meetings, administration and a realistic allowance for corrections. Compare that total with the hours actually available after existing commitments. A monthly fee does not create extra capacity.
For a hypothetical 20-hour service allowance, reserving all 20 hours for production leaves no room for updates or review. Define what the allowance covers and when extra requests will be scheduled, so the client understands what recurring availability means.
