A fixed subscription continues even during a quiet month, while usage charges may change with the workload. Model a low, expected and high volume scenario using your own assumptions. Keep those scenarios labelled as estimates. Check what triggers additional charges and whether a spending control is available for the chosen account; do not assume every provider offers the same limits or alerts.
