Editorial follow-up: define the denominator
A claim of 200% growth is ambiguous without the starting amount, measurement period and treatment of added funds. For a hypothetical balance that rises from $100 to $300 after a $200 deposit, the increase is not evidence of $200 in profit. Ask for a reconciliation of opening balance, deposits, withdrawals and closing balance before interpreting a percentage headline.
