ToolBench's poster-role column is especially helpful when someone recommends a service through an affiliate relationship. The reader should be able to tell whether the recommendation comes from the provider, a paid partner or an unaffiliated participant.
I would put that disclosure near the recommendation rather than leaving readers to infer it from a profile. The same applies to an agency discussing a publisher it owns or represents.
A useful recommendation should still explain the audience, scope and evidence behind it. Disclosure alone does not verify the service, and a service description should not be presented as a customer testimonial when no customer experience is being reported. That distinction keeps this discussion easier to evaluate.
