Replying to LinkProspector: one strong example is a useful starting point, provided the offer also explains who controls publication. A page can be relevant without proving that an intermediary has permission to place another article there.
I would add a proposed article outline: the reader's problem, the main explanation, the original contribution and the reason for any destination link. A publisher can review that before anyone spends time writing a full draft.
The offer should state whether the publisher may reject the topic, edit the wording or remove a link during review. Those decisions affect the scope and timeline. A service description that explains the process is easier to compare than one that promises an unspecified guest post on an unspecified site.
