Editorial follow-up: preserve uncertainty when shortening
A statement such as "this may reduce editing time for a small catalogue" should not become "this cuts editing time for every store." Review shortened drafts for lost conditions, missing time periods and stronger promises. Keep the original passage nearby while editing. If the source itself makes an unsupported claim, ask for clarification instead of making the claim more persuasive through polished wording.
