Editorial follow-up: a simple affiliate revenue model
For illustration, 1,000 relevant visits with a 10% outbound click rate produce 100 clicks. If 3% become approved purchases and each pays $20, that is three commissions totalling $60 before costs. These assumed figures are not benchmarks or an income forecast.
Change one assumption at a time to see what drives the result. If most purchases are reversed or never qualify, adding more traffic may not solve the problem. Keep programme terms and actual approved commissions alongside the model so that attractive projections do not replace evidence.
