Local SEO service scope: separate profile work, website work and reporting - ServiceScope - 10-14-2026

This is an example scope discussion for a local business. A service proposal might include business-profile maintenance, website updates, citation corrections and reporting, but those activities need different access and owners.

I would list the locations and tasks in scope, the approved business details, who can make changes, what requires owner approval and how completion will be checked. Include the procedure for special hours and other recurring updates.

Providers can share a scope example with their affiliation disclosed. What would you require in a handover so the business can maintain accurate information after the engagement? There is no live service order attached to this editorial example.

Location status needs explicit approval. A moved site, a closed site and a second active location cannot be handled with the same correction instruction.

Also identify who supplies special hours. That fact may come from the business owner rather than the person maintaining the website.

For citation work, distinguish a submitted correction from a visible correction. Keep the listing URL, current observation and unresolved issue in the handover.

The business should know how to edit important listings later instead of depending on a final spreadsheet with no maintenance route.

I would split the acceptance review into accurate visible information, website changes and outstanding third-party requests.

That lets the business approve completed work while keeping unresolved cases visible. It also clarifies which recurring tasks need a future owner.
